There is a section in the second life search called the Showcase. It was designed to show off the portions of Second Life that really show what artist have created and to give them the spotlight they should deserve.
I found a great SIM called Japan Dream Kenjin in the showcase that has inspired me to create. The amount of detail in this area is really amazing and really should be shown off.
Currently i am working on a series of ten pictures I am calling Japanese Light. I know its a simple name for a series but it works. I’m finding that I am getting so many ideas from this set that I actually feel damn good about this set. Once i get a set of ten images done I want to auction off what i call the film strip version to the relay for life. For an idea of what I am talking about see below.
This year I am taking a more stepped back approach for taking photo graphs for the relay for one main reason. It was starting to affect my health. I am the type of person who in the past once they set their mind to something they they go at it full guns blazing with out a single thought of how it will affect later on. Well I fought tooth and nail to try to get photos for all of the events for relay for life last year. Well i did that task to the best of my ability, but i realized something. I’m taking something that should be fun and being extremely to serious about it. I would go to an event, take pictures and not really participate. Well I decided this year I am not going to do that anymore. I need to step back and evaluate even my second life.
So here’s to the relay for life. Let us find a cure someday for this craziness known as cancer.
