I have seen the gods

I have seen the gods, originally uploaded by IshtarsKiss.

Ok i know its an extreme title. Ever since i was little i always loved the idea of space, that outside our little planet earth there maybe other life forms. Entire worlds that no one has ever seen or stepped on. Or maybe more. We don't know.

I really got into reading about space as a kid. Just seeing how the original rocket jockeys took all those millions of pounds of thrust and their lives in their hands to prove we can leave this world, we can enter the open space we see every night and touch the stars. For some of those lucky few they developed a type of space madness to where they didn't want to leave. The so overwhelming affect of basically touching another part of the gods creations, this one act fundamentally changed their very souls and their reason for being.

I know this may sound to poetically overdone but, the simple fact is they are not the same. I don't know how to describe it all but, gods if we could all feel that way, we could finally see a glimpse of the mind of the gods them selfs. The very beauty of it all. Standing on the moon and looking back at Gaia. The birthplace of it all for our human race. Wow.

If you are reading this, you may be asking or thinking "OOOOOK WHAT BROUGHT THIS ON". Actually two simple things. Over the weekend i was contacted by a woman that really likes my art work and asked if we could do a showing of my work and a few others. Hell i even was offered the chance of modeling. She mentioned to me that she would like to have a image for some clothing that is space inspired and would love to see it on the moon. It took a while to find it and a friend of mine (Yxes thank ya so much) gave me a landmark in second life to one of the NASA sims.

I have to say once everything loaded on my screen my jaw dropped. Sure its only part of a simulation. But when you've had dreams of something like this since you were a kid, you have to smile and go "OH WOW". Maybe a little drool if your a die hard fanboy but you understand. Also even though its not in person, a representation of Neal Armstrongs footprints on the moon will make you smile.

Now how is this related to art. Art is how you see it, it makes your soul feel alive and impacts your very being. Ive had dreams of standing on the planet Venus, looking out over that yellow colored landscape and just taking in the beauty of it all. Like i said in a previous entry, to me once you make an impact, you have art. It may not be an impact on someone else, it can impact your very life. Your soul. As long as it is something that speaks to you, it can be artwork. Be it a cherry tree with its leaves falling downward, or even those first steps on the moon. Art is living, art is alive.
